In memory of Violette Summer

Peter Hayder was being held in solitary confinement in Fresnes prison outside Paris, pending extradition to Indonesia on charges of slavery and murder covering dates from 1994-1998. I say ‘was being held’. He was found dead in his cell at 6AM this morning. He had hung himself with a length of flex “which he had secreted about his body and was not noticed by his guards”.

Someone from Surer forwarded me the fax from France. It’s pretty short. The French clearly want to think it was a nice tidy suicide that’s going to save them a lot of paperwork.

Like hell it was.

So who or what is ‘Wheat’? Is it a network or a single person? Are we really talking about a professional killer? It seems completely bizarre. This is 2008. We’re civilised people, living in the most surveilled society in history. How can something or someone like that actually exist? And yet we’ve got two dead bodies, and a photograph of a man we have to assume is the next target. What the hell is going on? And if Hayder was giving ‘Wheat’ orders, then who ordered Hayder’s death? Who’s behind this? Who is pulling the strings? And what are they trying to do?

Someone seems to know but isn’t telling. Which brings me to the second bit of business: I seem to be in charge here. Something’s put the fear of hell into The Fan and he/she has gone to silent running, with an emphasis on the ‘running’ part. Somehow he/she tracked down my Googlemail address, contacted me through Google Chat, and after a few minutes I am apparently the new webmaster of Violette’s Dream, until The Fan comes back, if he/she comes back. That’s basically all I know. I’m supposed to ‘build a research community to find out who is interested in Violette Summer’s last message, why they want to decode it, and what they think it might mean.”

So, um… help?

#172 as been notified, and is now in hiding. He confirms links to a Zurich company, with WWII history, and not a Surer dept as suspected.

How do you contact someone who doesn’t want to be contacted? “Z” this is very urgent, please get in touch!

Wheat’s in town, pissed that someone’s got his gold, & details of his next hit. Is he on Surer’s $? I’ve a hunch who #172 is.

Hayder has been arrested in relation to a shipping offence committed in 1998. Interpol involved - more info as it filters through…

Snow White says “there’s more to Hayder than Surer. He has a history in Asia. The Trustees video hasn’t helped.” Someone has flagged him.

Hayder is on the run… Something has spooked him. Snow White, are you involved?
